Bill Loy Excellence in Cartography Award 2019 Recipient

An exploration of the impact of Antarctic tourism. This is an independent project. My process included:

  • Collection and curation of research
  • Development of an original basemap in ArcMap 10
  • Creating a map layout and data graphics with Adobe Illustrator

3D Model & Drone Flight

A 3D model of the University of Oregon Knight Library lawn. This project was developed in a partnership and my involvement included:

  • Designing flight route
  • Operating a DJI Phantom 3 to capture imagery
  • Processing imagery and building model in AgiSoft's PhotoScan

Student Union Seating Atlas

Trussell Family Scholarship 2019 Recipient

An examination of interior design and access. This is an independent project. My process included:

  • UI/UX design
  • Data collection
  • Web app construction using the Leaflet.js library

Food on Campus, University of Oregon

Designed and developed as a GIS Analyst at the University of Oregon. This project is a redesign of a previous map application. My involvement included:

  • Adapting the applcation to the Campus GIS framework
  • Designing UI/UX under Senior Developer supervision
  • Designing and creating map icons with Adobe Illustrator

Campus Addresses, University of Oregon

Designed and developed as a GIS Analyst at the University of Oregon. This project was designed to simplify the process of finding campus building addresses, primarily for employees. My involvement included:

  • Adapting the applcation to the Campus GIS framework
  • Writing an API (C#) to pull data from a SQL table
  • Designing UI/UX under Senior Developer supervision
